Her Name

I woke up feeling sad again

And I knew it was here to stay,

A cup of coffee won’t amend,

So I must go about my day.

I feel I’ve gained 200 pounds,

I think I’ll name her Longing,

She hides beneath, she’s underground,

But I always hear her calling.

What is this lost, this empty state,

I always end up here,

I wish I could up and fly away,

But her name is also Fear.
