Misery's Carrier

The more years I gain,

The more layers I stack,

I cannot keep up with this brain,

I cannot take anything back.

The more I learn,

The more that I uncover,

The more my heart burns,

And the more pain I must suffer.

If this is growing older,

If this is my fate,

A life that is getting colder,

A soul meant to bear this weight.

May I find the strength,

May I push through the barrier,

So when death comes my way,

I have done my duty as Misery's carrier.
